6) You arrived too late. They had already left.

7) Her mother hadn't given her any money, so she couldn’t buy the tickets.

Past Perfect Tense se foloseşte pentru a exprima o acţiune trecută desfăşurată înaintea altei acţiuni încheiate în trecut. Se traduce prin mai-mult-ca-perfectul.
